So, GNOME 2.10 came out yesterday. After a couple of days of playing with /etc/portage/packages.keywords, and emerging and unemerging a lot of stuff, it’s now working in my system.
I’ll be honest: it’s pretty much the same.
But of course it feels faster (I don’t know the improvements in Gtk+), and now I can use Evince… which is über cool because I’m tired of Acrobat Reader (I want everything in my system with antialiased fonts). Also, gnome-session now can reboot or halt the machine, which was a highly missing feature.
Overall, GNOME has improved. I don’t know if a “lot”, but it has improved. Ah, but my Lila theme is not working, so I’m stucked with the default one. Or something similar.
